We went out again this weekend. A group of 4 vehicles went for a try at Slaughterhouse gulch this weekend. We had fun. There is Still a lot of snow on the trail. We didn't get very far and snow blocked us in both places.
The winch was used. We needed the full regimen of supplies including the tree strap, the clevis, the snatchblock and a snatch strap. One of the guys found out his "lunch-box"
locker was not working, effectively giving him 3 wheel drive. On snow, that translates into hard slides to the passenger side. He ended up parking his rig, but joined the rest of us as we went on.
Still, it was fun to get out and do some snow bashing!

Here Brian was about to snatch him out. Didn't work so we had to winch him out...
Next weekend is the annual "Old Fart's" run out to Chinaman's Gulch near Buena Vista. Looking forward to it!
