Snow Bashing again!

Went up to above Central City on a trail known as Yankee Hill to see how far we could get. We got some snow last week. We were supposed to go yesterdaybut it never got warm enough to want to go outside!

The snow was cold stuff. So cold that the cold temperatures did not let it solidify. You couldn't pack it into snowballs if you tried to.

Progress was slow. Travel was inch by very slow inch. It was like corn snow with ice at the bottom. The video will take you off-site to Photobucket .com

We hit a climb or two and had to winch. 4 times we winched ourselves. One time was because, well, we fell off the trail!

We hooked up with some other off-roaders and had to winch one back up a snow laden trail.

Then, at the top of the hill, we got this picture.

It was a lot of fun today. Cold, but you can dress for it!
