Need Electrical Help! Newbie Here!

sorry to yell :)

i'm in desperate need of some help. i just purchased a flex-a-lite fan kit for my 05 TJ 4.0.

tried to install it 2 times, WITH an override switch to manually turn it on, as outlined in the instructions.

first time, i fried the controller. evidently it was because of the override switch i used. it was NOT a flex a lite diode protected switch. figures.

so flex a lite sent me a diode and told me to install it in the switch ground wire. all is semi good.

i tapped into the blue/yellow wire on the back side of the AC compressor, and that's when hell breaks loose. i turn AC ON, and the fan clicks on, but then my AC compressor goes NUTZ. grinding noise. (i was told it was a pressure pop off valve on the compressor)

so i unhook the AC wire, and the compressor continues to make the loud grinding noise. it ONLY goes away when i completely disconnect the fan. then, my AC works fine again.

what's up with that? they sent me a new controller and it does the same thing. am i tapping into the wrong wire???? does anyone know if the blue/yellow wire is the correct one? there's actually 2 blue yellow wires in the harness just above the ac compressor... perhaps i got the wrong one????
the one i tapped has 14 volts only when i turn on the AC.

HELP!!!!!
