93 AX-5 to a 95 or 96 AX-5 problem!

Hey guys...maybe someone can help me out.

93 Wrangler, 93 AX-5 went bad.

Soo...I purchased a 95 or 96 AX-5 (not sure what year but I know that my '93 has an internal slave cylinder, the "new" tranny I installed has an external slave cylinder.

I swapped my old bellhousing onto the new tranny as well as the front bearing retainer. The newer trans had a bearing retainer on it with a metal sleeve which covered half of the shaft (input or output, whatever one is on the engine side) so I couldn't use my internal slave cylinder.

By swapping these retainers, I was able to convert this newer tranny to the old internal slave cylinder.

Problem is, now the slave cylinder is whining like a baby, and I'm not sure if what I did is the reason for the noise. It shifts perfect, and this slave cylinder made NO noise in the old transmission.

Makes me think I need to put the originall bellhousing/external slave cylinder back on? Please help!!!
