Putting useable mirrors on your Jeep
why installed new mirrors on my CJ7
It felt like I had to readjust my rear view mirror every time I wanted to change lanes, and the passenger side mirror - forget about it. I get envious of the fancy TJ mirrors, and finally decided to do something about it.
What you'll need:
- Socket set
- Torx (or star) bits
- Small wrench (to get up under the
- windshield)
- Some friction increasing liquid really
- helps (Get it from Sears)

Re: Putting useable mirrors on your Jeep
I purchased new TJ mirrors from Quadratec.
I wasn't in the mood to drill a bunch of holes in my windshield frame, so I splurged bought some of Sun performance's mirror movers.
It can be really difficult to get the old Torx bolts out. If they break, you may have to drill them out.

Step 2
Once the mirror mover is onyou're really home free. Just put the mirror on, tighten the large nut, and adjust
