heater fan

1987 mj 4cyl
heater fan has all its speeds, but not real good air flow.
blend doors in heater box working properly.
checked my truck against 3 other local trucks they are all the same
i seem to remember a heater fan/squirrell cage swap
couldnt find the thread
does anyone remember what gm fan assembly was used?
