distributor bearing and winch

my distributor bearing or bushing is worn so i can not gap the points correctly. are these rebuildable or is it time to replace the unit with a electronic ignition?

also is the koineg winch rare (just the winch part not the shafts or transmission). i have one that has either been rebuilt years ago or may even be a nos (never had cable on it and looks to be sprayed in red lead). i want to mount it on to my toy but it seems a shame to use it if its a rare item. e.g i could just chuck on a cheap 12v for what i need but the koineg is a conversation piece.

thanks for any advise
glenn

Re: distributor bearing and winch

as for replacing the bearing you could do just that but if its that far torn down Im sure the the dist shaft is prob also worn so prob be cheaper to replace the whole lot and you can get a whole kit for $159. from kaiser willys www.kaiserwillys.com part #923068 this one is 12v electronic ignition or the other 12v one which has points and sells for 149. part #906725 after seeing the price on just the bearing of $29.99 makes sence just to do shaft also
they prob have the winch stuff also and then theres walcks
think this should cover your question
