my buddy has a 98 grand cherokee. the other day he put it in 4hi and when he shifted back to 2wd, the t-case didn't shift back over. hes bringing it into the shop tuesday, but would really like to have an idea whats wrong w/ it.....thanx[addsig]

I had the same prob on my '97 XJ. Turns out the front driveshaft u- joint was

bound up and was keeping the front diffs locked in. (so the mech. said)[addsig]
