RE: Avatar?

Anyone happen to know the spline count on the shafts in the rear D70 from a 1967 M715? How about the front D60? Stubs?

I found these numbers on another site:

inner axle diameter: 1.50"
inner axle spline count: 23

stub axle diameter: 1.375"
stub axle spline count: 21

inner and stub axles both neck down between splines and yokes, like Ford d60

axle joint is the same as d60, no tracta joint

diff is a Dana Powr-Lok

gear ratio: 4.88:1

**Check out these links to POR, got the numbers there. (Careful, you know POR, flame and vulgarity all over the place. )

***Here's an m715 site:

There's some good info on there. Man, sure seems like a lot of work.
I may not know the answers you seek, but I can search the internet like no other!

Thanks Mingez. I can get a set of those axles pretty cheap, but the closed knuckles and coarse splines kind of make them less attractive.
