question about lifts

I know the Grand Cherokee didn't get IFS until 2005, but my roommate says they had IFS in 1999. So please respond to his statement with all your Jeep knowledge, there is a 12 pack of beer on the line.

Jeepicus, you are 12 beers richer. 2005 was the first IFS GC. 1999 models used solid axles on both ends.
