RE: Carter carb to Motorcraft 2150 swap writeup
ARB's are big money and not all that impressive to me. I would get tired of hearing that annoying compressor as well. If you are going selectable then go with the OX cable locker or one of the electric lockers. I personally would drop a Loc rite in and be done with it.

I had a arb in my front d30 and can say they are sweet. Its nice being able to steer when you need to on the trail, and my compressor didn't come on very often. I have a detroit in my d44 now and miss the arb. In the rear though i would save the $$ and just throw a cheap lock-rite in and not worry about it, you will wear your tires faster

RE: THrottle body spacers?
Lincoln Locker or mini-spool, best bang for the buck traction. Less annoying than a Detroit, and more reliable than a selectable.

RE: Re: RE: Forum rules and guidelines
Really depends on how much Hwy driving you do. If it is a DD, I would go with a OX cable locker(thats what I will go with) but if it is mostly off-road...just lock it up tight and hit the trails!

RE: How Often?
Thought you were getting a cheap Rubi?!? That thing should already have lockers.

Re: RE: How Often?
If you've ever driver a rig welded or spooled on the road you would never do it again. I'm hearing ox lockers are not working right because of the cables, plus it takes months to get one in the west. Still of your on a budget go lockrite...check on ebay or used on other sites.

ECU questions**Help**
I don't know what's going on with the Ox locker, but I recieved an invitation to go to a machinery auction in Florida that was in January. I couldn't make it, and I REALLY hate that because one of the items up for auction was the left over inventory......a table full of Ox lockers and their heavy duty U joints. I don't know if they just switched manufacturers or if they are going under, but I suspect it has something to do with why there may be a long wait.

I drive my Lincoln Lockers onroad all the time, no problems here. I actually like the fact it's more predrictable than an auto locker like a lockright. It's always locked up so no worries about it locking/unlocking, and no sudden lane changes when you're on and off the throttle.

Re: RE: Without a doubt the ugliest Jeep!
If your going for budget get a loc rite. They are cheap and work good. They arent as strong as the detroit. But I dont think you are running 37's. The detroits are great but a loc rite will be just as good in certian applications. Lincoln locking actually weakens your axle. But it's still the cheapest route. Personally, I wouldnt do it. I love my ARB's, expensive, but worth it for the daily driver. I am in control of what's turning when I want. Only thing is it sucks when you get an air leak. Everything has it's drawbacks.

I like electric lockers.
But with an ARB, you'll also have on board air

What I dont like is when someone speaks so highly of a product but never lists it's drawbacks. :?
Now that's wack.

RE: Will This Fit?
haha...this is why i deleted my posts...lol... :) ..yeas there are draw backs to running a spool or lincoln locker...your tires will wear out faster and chirp around corners...but that just adds to the cool factor IMO.. ...no offence sully just giving an opinion!

None taken it's just annoying when people state only the good facts of what they got and only the bad of what everyone else is running.
