lift going on
Spent a few hours tonight and the rear is almost finished. Track bar won't come off so we're goin to get the sawzall tomorrow and cut the SOB off. So far i'm very pleased and i'll have pics posted as soon as I get finished(hopefully tomorrow). 2 questions: 1. How vital are shock boot? my shocks didn't come with any and can't find any for the DT3000s. 2. While i was under there i was very pleased to see i have a flowmaster muffler with 2.5inch pipes coming off of it but i was displeased to see when i jumped my jeep the track bar crushed the pipe. It's prob been killing my mileage and performance for a while now and i was wondering how much i should look to pay to have a new pipe fabbed up for it.

Re: lift going on
Shock boots are not needed. Some feel they just trap moisture anyhow. I usually use them, but leave the bottom zip tie off so they can drain.
If they didn't come with them then don't worry about it. They'll be fine.

Re: lift going on
Don't use boots! They trap moisture and grit and ruin your shocks. You are better off without them. (well, unless you have a show truck... )

Re: lift going on
Well rear has goven me one last problem. The pins that go into the axles on the stock springs were 1/2inch and the pins on the new leafs are 9/16. And i can't get a drill to hold a 9/16 until at least monday! And then i still have to do the front. The bad part is i don't have a vehicle till i'm finished so this sucks.

You can't get a 9/16" bit that has the smaller 1/2" shaft on it? Maybe a lowes, home depot, sears????

Re: lift going on
Yeah that's all i can find. Sorry i didn't specify but the largest drill i can get till tomorrow can only hold a 3/8 shank. Checked lowes, home depot, and the new northern store in town.
