NEED 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler to take pictures of
Hey all,
Anyone out there know of anyone in the Orange County, CA area that has a Jeep Wrangler from any model year from 1987-1995 that they can bring to my work so I can take photos of it (exemplar surrogate study)? You WILL get paid for this if you have the right model. The pay is 200.00 for your time. It should not take longer than 4 hours. We're guessing we'll be done in about 2 hours if weather permits. The date will be set for next Saturday (12/9/06) so if you know of anyone PLEASE let me know. The pictures will just be external and internal (nothing will be disassembled).
Thank you!!!
I can be reached at (916) 690-0989

So, what's the catch? Remember the old adage, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
Oh, and one message posted would have been enough....we tend to frown upon spamming the same message across several forums here.

The catch is that his name is Tiny, he's just out of prison and lookin' for some knocked-unconscious lovin' in the back seat of a YJ

Re: NEED 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler to take pictures of
There is no catch. The only problem we are having is locating a Jeep Wrangler from the years of 1987-1995 in Orange County, CA. I've tried dealerships and looked for private sellers but the private sellers are too far (over 40 miles away) and the dealerships only have newer models. Also, I do apologize for the multiple posts. This is my first time on any of these. It was actually suggested by someone who contacted me with a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. If anyone is interested and would like to know more about what we do please contact me. We are an engineering company that does exemplar surrogate work.

Re: NEED 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler to take pictures of
Thank you to all of those people who did take this posting seriously. We have found our exemplar vehicle. Also, an exemplar vehicle would be an exact model of the original vehicle in question. A surrogate is a person who matches the exact description of the original person in question. The reason for the range in years is that there is a sister and clone list put out by an engineering company that allows us to use a range of model years (because the body style does not change) vs having to find the exact year of the vehicle in question. Again, thank you to all who took this posting seriously. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! If you are interested in doing paid exemplar work with your Jeep in the future and ARE located in the Orange County, CA area please contact me and I can put you on our list to be contacted in the future. We are always looking for exemplar vehicles. Thank you again.

So an exemplar vehicle is a complete stock - original looking vehicle?

Re: NEED 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler to take pictures of
An exemplar, at least in our case, is a vehicle that is the same make/model/year (or sister vehicle) that matches our vehicle in question, not necessarily a stock vehicle although it may be. Hope that made sense.

What exactly is it that you do? I already knew the meanings of exemplar and surrogate, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say we are curious at this point.
Designing aftermarket products? C'mon man... gimme somethin'
