New Toy
Well, I gave in to the urge. I got a deal on a used 2004 Yamaha Rhino 660. It needs some TLC, but runs like a champ. I bought it for $3700 and had to order a headlight, tailgate, rear axle shaft and brake pads. I still have less than $4k in it. These things are in the $9-10k range new. This particular one has a Yamaha roof and windshield as well as a set of 27" Mud Lite tires on 12" ITP aluminum wheels. Those are about $1100 in add ons anyhow.
Don't worry, I bought it for hunting. I will still be out thrashing the Jeep when hunting season is over.
BTW...isn't someone on here a Rhino or LineX dealer. I'm thinking about having the hood and bed done in an od green or desert tan color.
I'll get some pics up when I get my camera back.

Re: New Toy
Sweet. The aftermarket for those is almost as plentiful as for jeeps.

Re: New Toy
Yea, I bought a set of rear axle shafts on E-bay. Evidently axle failure is common when you step up to the bigger tires. The guy on E-bay sells a larger diameter axle and CV's as an upgrade. I got a pair for slightly more than what Yamaha wanted for a single original replacement.
The hood and fenders are faded somewhat. I did the heat gun trick and it took the white look out of them, but they still don't look new. I am going to have them sprayed with LineX in a brownish/tan color along with the bed. Pimp my Rhino!

Re: New Toy
I don't know what you are talking about. Hook me up with a link. If it costs more than LineX, I'm out. I really should just paint it camo, but I can't help bu think how mean it will look with the LineX

Re: New Toy
Mine looks just like the one pictured above except that the wheel and tire shown in the back are in place of the tracks. Same roof, same color...well actually I dropped it off at Rhino linings this morning. It is getting an Olive Drab gloss with UV protectant. Stylin.

Re: New Toy
That's pretty slick. Rhino linings called and said everything is ready and it turned out nice. I won't be able to pick it all up until later next week though. I can't wait to see them.
