power options for a '89 4.0

i have a 1989 jeep xj with 209,000 miles on it just lifted it and running 35. the motor runs stong but i want more power right now i have a borla header and catback with not cat. i play in the mud alot is there any good boltts on the i can do, with out scarifice durablity and not makeing it a vacumn for water i have many deep holes i play in (some in excess of 4 feet) any help would be great

That's a no-brainer... with 35" tires the only significant increase in power will come from re-gearing your axles.

i know i need it regeared but i can afford that at the moment its like a grand to have it regeared what gears should i go with??

4:56 will bring you on the econo side of gas millage
4:88 will to you to other side but give you more torque.

depends on the axle you have I needed one for my dana 30 but not for my dana 44
