need some help

I just bought a cj10 for a really awesome price . but when you get in it and punch it it has a popping sound to it . If any of yall could help me out with this i would appreciate it . Thanks

Hmmm I know exactly what that sound is... It has lots of culprits. Post up more details. Does it do it under acceleration, with increased RPM's, at certain speeds, in certain gears, from what location... etc. You're way to vague.

well it does it from a dead stop and when you just punch it . But just a steady acceleration no it doesnt do it . And that seems to be the only time it is doing it. And it sounds like its the front drivers side area , sorry about the vagueness im new to this. But if you have any help I would greatly appreciate it.
