i got a ? about a lift

i have a 1976 jeep wangoneer with 30'' mud tires on it. it does just about every thing i want it 2 but i want a lift. i found a 2'' lift. this lift is a u-bolt lift. i was just wondering if someone knows if it is worth the 80 some odd dollers to put it on. and if so how long would it take to put on. i found it at autozone. and i really dont have 2 much money. so if anyone can help it would be great. Thanks

Is it for the front and rear? It sounds like lift blocks to me, and while they may work on the rear axle they are a bad choice for the front axle.

You should consider a full spring lift or if that's too expensive consider add-a-leafs. A kit like this one isn't expensive and comes with the longer shocks you'll need with any of the lifts mentioned:

can't use lift blocks on the front of a wagoneer anyways, they are SUA in the front and SOA in the rear.

You get what you pay for. save your money and buy something that comes from a reputable manufacturer.

Re: i got a ? about a lift

Sounds like the resident cynic......

I had a Wagoneer way back when and I had the springs re-arched, it was good for nearly 3". Those old Waggys' lose the springs after about 20 years, it is good steel but they weighed a touch too much for them. Get under it and check them out, if they are flat oor negative check them out further. If you find no damage you might consider it, I ran 30" Norsemen tires when 30" were huge and they fit fine but while you are at it replace the shocks with something reasonable, they don't have to be the best but get something better than stock......
