Welcome little brother. You have to nip it, nip it in the bud! hehehe how bad is the rust? where is the rust? farme body or what? youhave to get rid of it by sanding grinding or cutting it out depending on how bad and where. Ther paint patch or replace! A little more info and the folk here will help you out a bunch i am sure. I know i will try. Good Luck tug [addsig]

hey man!

im 17 and i also own a j10 mine is a 1979 i also own a 1997 wrangler but n e ways what i did to get the rust off of my j10 is sand it down and if you have to sand so much that you can see through the metal just go to a hardware store and buy sheet metal and weld it on there its really not as bad as it seems. just make sure that it doesnt stick out what i did is applied bondo on the ends of the sheet metal and as soon as is dryed i sanded it all down and it worked really well and looked nice after the paint job ![addsig]
