I am posting this for a friend, who has a 1986 CJ 6-cylinder engine; he is trying to increase airflow to his engine to boost power. He told me he removed what he thinks is as butterfly valve in the breather tube, was this a mistake? Is there a valve in the breather box that can be removed too? Are there any other ways to increase performance and gas mileage?

Taking that out is a good move, I havn't heard of anyone regret it... when I bought mine it was already gone! as for the airflow, snittys right, its the cheapest way, that is if you make the new intake yourself. I am making one now... I will be posting pics on my site when I'm done. If you can't wait here is another site that has a "how to" [addsig]
