I am considering swapping my cj7's stock tranny for a muncie sm465. I have already done a 350 swap and should have already gotten rid of the sr4. Wanted to see if anyone had good or bad? experiences with this tranny.

Thanks.[addsig]

That's one beefy tranny! Low first gear, (granny low!) should bolt right up. I think the difference between it and the SM420, besides age, is the 1st gear in the 465 is syncro'd. You should have no problems with it.

Go for it!
