I know that if you have the MPFI 2.5L engine you can use a throttle body from a 4.0...its a direct bolt in replacement for the 2.5 TB and is bigger. Bigger TB = engine gets more air = more HP (yay!) Unforunantly I think that your 2.5 is TBI which uses a different TB. I think the MPFI 2.5 came in in 1991. [addsig]

RayOvac is correct, the YJ throttle body swap from 2.5L to 4.0L only works on '91-'95 models (MPI = multi port injection). Also, this swap can be done to a TJ, but the throttle body most be the newer type. On the TJs throttle body, the MAP sensor is on the throttle body, the YJ throttle body does not have this sensor.[addsig]

Ya, what Joker said :-D

Tug, have you checked out 4Bangers United forums, it's a ton of 4banger tips and tricks, covers the 4.0L TB swap quite a bit.

I have the 4.0L TB and TBS on my 2.5L, and love it. Every little bit helps on this half-engine [addsig]
