do the lift! any lift! Jack up the front end and max out the down stroke of your supension. Now look at your break lines and if they are all straight and tight you need more line. Do the same to the rear. Sometimes you can move the break line brackets to a lower level to give you more line. Just remember that safty comes first and you need them breaks. Tug's right. On the xj I put 2 1/2" on, I didn't need the extended lines. But anthing more, and at max. extension of the shock, I'd have been in trouble. The easiest way to check is to find someone who works at a warehouse and have them lift your jeep by the tire until the lifted tire maxes out against the bump stop or the fender, and check your lines then, also check your tire/wheel well clearance.[addsig]

well i want to lift either 4.5 or 5.5 inches so i guess i need the extensions[addsig]

I would think yes plan on spending the money for new break lines and get good ones cause alot rides on your breaks. Tug[addsig]
