I know it is getting to be warm now, but I do have a winter related question for all the Jeepers in cold climates. I have seen hard top insulation on Californiatops.com but I was wondering if anyone has used this type of insulator and if so... does it make a difference? Has anyone ever used anything else?

Thanks![addsig]

Well Jeep#3 when i put my hardtop on i just (believe it or not) used ducktape the first time to seal around the top, but the last time i put it on i used regular insulation that goes around a truck bed for the truck camper. all you need is some insulation/foam that is sticky on oneside and go all the way around with it. it works great and is only about 3$ a pack. I actually ordered the insulator that Jeep offers....I found it not to be formed exactly right, and revisions had to be made(cuts, etc.) The insulation foam souds like a good idea to me, and cheaper as well....[addsig]

I live in Alaska, and as you might know we get winter here thats last a good 6 months.
As I have a hardtop, I will share with you the secert to keeping you and your jepp nice and toasty warm. Find a goose down comforter, a plain color one is what I use. Then i just stuff it in around the roll bar and ust two sided tape to hold it to the top. then get some ty-wraps to hold it in place around the roll bar. You will not only stay a bit warmer, but you have a extra safety blanket with you if you get in trouble and are stuck in your jeep. Hope this helps. Good luck, and have fun.

That's a good idea Alaskan! That's what the one that I saw for sale looks like... a big comforter! Maybe I'll try that![addsig]
