So I'm in the process of replacing the carb on 1976 CJ which has a 1975 304 in it. I went to the parts store to get a replacement fuel filter and the one they gave me has two lines on one end and one on the other. The one that was in the jeep has one line on ech end. Any idea what the extra line is for?
Does anyone have a good source for where all the vacuum lines etc are supposed to go for the carb and manifold? The guy that owned this before me really butchered everything and so I'm trying to figure it all out. My haynes manual isn't very good for this stuff.

Sounds like the same fuel filter I have on my `79 CJ7. The side with the single port is for the fuel supply line from the tank, the side with the dual ports is for the fuel line to the carb and for the overflow back to your gas tank. My Chilton has pretty good pics for the vac lines, might want to give them a try.[addsig]
