I was originally going to but a 4.0l in my 200 2.4l but now im thinking i might just go for the whole shabang and drop in a v-8. What size engines have people used and are having luck with, also what other mods well be needed ie. tranny, and axel. I have the stock 5 speed now.
Thanks[addsig]

in the new JP magazine they have a thing on how to drop a V8 in a TJ. not sure what engine it is, but i'm sure you can find the article online or lay down the 4 beans for the magazine. They show alot of other mods too...neat stuffs in there

If you're seriuos about this swap visit advance adapters. Call them they are great on the phone they will let you know exactly what you need. I still say to just trade it on a 4.0L though. The conversion thing is cool but you'll need to have a second vehicle and some time to do the job right.[addsig]

Lot of work and a lot of time-- engine swaps are cool and a lot of fun if you take the time to do it right. Helped a friend drop a 318 into an '82 CJ last year. It turned out great, but took us almost 3 months! I've seen a lot of people who didnt allow themselves enough time to do the mod though, and ended up with some real hack jobs. If you have the cash and want something really cool, chrysler sells their 360 crate motors (about $3000) that I think could be sho-horned into a TJ. [addsig]
