When i put my jeep in neutral and let the clutch out while at a stop there is a rattle coming from tranny/clutch area. When i press the clutch in it stops. Any idea what this is? Not a real big deal, so if it's not bad i'm going to live with it. If it's something broken, however, I'm going to haul it in before warranty is up.

Too me it sounds like your throw out bearing. You should be fine for a while, it will just continue to get louder and louder. Dont know how many miles you have on your jeep but if you have quite a few when ever you dig into you might as well take care of the clutch while your in there.[addsig]

does it only stop if you push the clutch in all the way? or does it stop as soon as you take up the slack/play? if it stops when the play is gone, its likely the TOB, when the internals go, it tends to fall or flop around on the input shaft.. and when you push it, it will center itself again and hold itself in place... on some vehicles, you can adjust the clutch so that the TOB is resting on the clutch springs... it will constantly spin that way, so it might wear faster, but the noise can go away[addsig]

I have to agree with snitty if you only have that few miles on it. Looks like you might just need some adjustments. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out. [addsig]
