another alternator question

alrigh i got a new alt. and a new batt. so i know its got to do something with the alt,but i don't know what to check for.can anyone give some ideas?

so whats the problem? you have a new alternator and battery installed? i don't understand your question/problem.............................

you need to test the two components to see what the problem is?[addsig]

well i jump star my car,but then it looks like it looses power it runs for a min or two,but if i turn the head light then it looses powers and turns it self off.[addsig]

You replaced both and still having starting issues, or was it starting then stalling?

Is it a new belt? Is the belt properly tensioned? Did you apply belt dressing?

whats belt dressing,how do i know if its a bad belt,i mean the belt looks good and pretty tie.
