Understand: I know little to nothing about cars. Anyway, test drove a couple of new Liberties this weekend and both of them, after we stopped and got out, seemed to drip some water from the bottom for a couple of minutes -- nothing dramatic, but it made me curious. Was this bad? Normal? What was it? Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

did the drip come from behind the Front, passenger side, Tire?? If so it is your AC and is completely normal, depending on how hummid your area is.

All Air Conditioning systems WILL produce water. It is the result of warm air blowing over the almost freezing evaporater coils. If you have a vehicle that doesn't drip when the A/C is on, then the A/C isn't working or the water is draining in the wrong place (usually under the carpet)

AH -- yes. I feel pretty stupid. We live in DC & it is some terrible humid here these days. Thanks so much for your reponses.

Quick follow-up: how important do you think ABS brakes are in a 4X4 that won't be seeing much off-road? Thanks again. This is a wonderful resource for neophytes like me.

No need to feel that way

If I were buying a new Jeep, I'd get ABS.

ABS is better to have for on road use. It will help keep the vehicle under control in a panic stop situation. They are not optimumfor off road use, butI would rcomend them for ANY vehicle that will see a majority of time on the pavement.

Thanks for the word. Buying at the end of the model year, I'm limited by what's actually out there (along with other features I want), but this is helpful.

A mouthy date that loves Wranglers!

abs are A Bull**** System- basically, unlessu plan on skidding on ice, they are not necessary... they are pretty much government added things to make people feel safe o and trust me u can skid some gnarly skids even w/ abs
