OK here is the deal, Why did you come here to jeepz.com and join in the boards when there are a blue million jeep boards out there ot be a part of? I just want to know.
I joined cause it was a very open and friendly place not filled with porn and personal judgement. I found that to be a rare quality in this type of a board.
Thanks ofr your commets in advance. Tug

I'd have to say I'm here to meet new Jeepers and just all around nice people. People who will guide me through my first oil change lol and commiserate about that damn rubber plug the last oil change place put in her because they stripped her oil pan hole. Unlike Tug, though, I think porn would only enhance this site.... JEEP PORN! I could see it now.... "Jeeps Gone Wild: Mud Edition" "Mudders Volume 2" LOLOLOL!!! -Mike

Sorry to go with the general statement, but I gotta say all of the above, with the exception of the last one.
And...I am happy to say that I have found all here..there is no other board that I call home.

I joined for many of the same reasons as Tug.
I wandered in and found a bunch of low-key, sane people. People who don't take every opportunity to scorch a newbie, but instead take every opportunity to help a newbie. People who can express their thoughts without punctuating every sentence with potty-mouth rhetoric. People who don't burden their fellow Jeepers with each and every trial and tribulation of the non-Jeep aspects of their personal lives.
In short, the place felt like a well broken-in pair of shoes. I am comfortable here. We are a good fit.
Thank you to those who created, maintain and moderate this board. Thank you to my shipmates for the advice, company and companionship.
Best regards,
Gadget

To be around other respectful jeepers and help others as I have been helped along the way.
The above posts sum up the atmosphere around here very well.

To be truthful some one left the back door open and I sort of wondered in looking for a free meal....lol
No I was looking for knowlageble people who knew about Jeeps. I didnt have to ask my question because some one already asked it and I found the answer in the knowlage base.
I guess I stuck around because some one stole my keys and I am too cheap to call a locksmith to get another one made.

I had a feeling something like this would happen
I have to say I joined to meet all these wonderful Jeepers. I actually had to to think about how I got here, I know I met Jonny (jeeps4jeeps) somewhere. Probably at another boring Jeep board. But anyways he told me to come here to Jeepz and I love it I have never met so many awsome people in my life. And seeing as the computer is my life welcome to it guys

Came looking for some information, found it on a Previous post. Learned a lot by reading the posts, help when I can. While not the biggest Jeep expert, I have kept a few running, well past there designed life expectancies. Thought it was only fair, to share some general automotive knowledge, picked up over the years. I donīt talk the best ball game, but have been the last mechanic, to repair, a troublesome machine, on more occasions than I can remember. Gotta have some kind of small talent.
People on the board, werenīt particularly warm, but heck niether am I. I donīt mind having my chain pulled, do a little pulling myself, from time to time. Ask Tug about Will Rogers, origianal dry wit.
Hung around, because nobody said go away, or I would have left a year ago or so.
I appreciate the companionship, Iīm kinda stuck out here, in a place, where I donīt really fit. Nice to talk to Mericans some. An occasional social dysfunction, just seems human to me. Donīt really like overtly obnoxious or hostile, donīt see that here much.
Try and keep the younguns, from making the same dumb arsed mistakes Iīve made, may be a little arrogant, but kind of a social responsibility.
I do get, to windy, on occasion.

After spending alot of time on motorcycle message boards (my second life) I did a search for a jeep board and this was the first one that came up. It looked to be the same quality format with the exception of a down home feeling. All of the other boards I use seem to be cluttered with rocket scientist with 20 letter word descriptions to define simple task. I like modifying jeeps and trying to create something that was formed by a vision after a six pack or two. I want to learn from your mistakes and maybe help someone learn from mine.

I joined because I wanted to learn more about the ins and out of my Jeep and this board is filled with the most knowledgable people in the world...well, on the world wide web.
The first question I ever posted was "how can I reduce the noise that my soft top makes when I drive on the highway?" I got over 20 responses (and some great suggestions that actually work) and since that day, I have been hooked.

Okay, I joined because I had already joined my local clubs forum and got zero response after several weeks. I could see they didn't care about another jeeper, maybe even a female jeeper. Heck I don't know, but I started looking around because I wanted to learn all I could about Jeeps and I wanted to meet other jeep people. I watched this board for only a day or two before I could tell that this was the place to be. Right off the bat I noticed how active the boards were and how much response everyone got on thier posts, new or old to jeeps.
Jeepz rocks, I'm telling you!

POLL: Synthetic oil conversion in older engine?
I joined because I knew of a place to wheel. I didnt think there would be 5 Jeeps in Marshfield a few weeks later. Little did I know.
It all turned out to be good..drinking beer with wicked cool Jeepers..how can you pass it up?

Honestly, Before I was on jeepz.com, I didn't know jack about computers, and only used the internet to buy stuff on ebay. I stumbled onto this site by accident trying to locate some type of part and this popped up. I looked around the site for about two months, and then someone asked a question about using the factory switch for aftermarket fog lamps, so I joined in order to reply! Since then I have met some of the most stand up people. Got to get new friends to go offroading with. I have since joined other forum type boards for off-raod, jeeps (that where I met purpleyjgirl) and for motorcycles. This is where I found it to be BEST, so I stayed, lucky you guys!

i joined jeepz.com because it was a place where everyone else had jeeps, i could ask questions about my jeep and 99.9% of the time get them awnsered, after i started to use it i learned that it is not just a place where people who own jeeps talk and ask questions about them, but it is actually a big FAMILY, people are always helping other people out, i found jeepz on yahoo when i searched, i searched for a site that had cheap performance mods for my Wrangler and sence then i have sold my Wrangler and got a XJ

I joined 'cause I had a technical question about a repair job or something and this site came up in my search. I can't even remember what the specific question was now. Now I come to read the posts, get a little information, and to get or give a few chuckles now and then. And I still have the occasional Jeep question.
Maybe I'll have more than the occasional question soon more as I'm noticing that my YJ has a number of little nuances needing attention lately. But hey, I'm at 151K miles and counting with no major problems...aside those resulting from impact with objects that my Jeep is attracted to and that refuse to get out of my way...like the ground, parking garage columns, a drunk driver's truck, etc. Those don't count.
