Can anyone tell me the measurements of the 88 XJ: width, wheel base...etc...or point me in the right direction...Looking for comparrison...My brother just bought a 2000 xj and would like to know which on is larger...he's got issues...lol

Ground clearance (at curb weight) approach angle/departure angle 38/31°
Breakover angle: 21°. Running ground clearance 2WD/4WD: 10/10.6.

	Approach Angle Starting from level ground, this is the degree of slope a vehicle can approach without scraping or hitting the front undercarriage. It's a great indication of the ability to navigate severe off-road terrain like boulders and logs. A short front overhang produces high angles of approach, thus increasing off-road ability.

	Breakover Angle The degree of slope that defines the largest ramp or hill that a vehicle can travel over without scraping against the frame or underbody components.

	Departure Angle Similar to the approach angle, the departure angle indicates a vehicle's ability to drive off a ramp or obstacle without damaging the rear of the vehicle.

Of course things such as Height, Ground clearance, etc. are going to depend on what kind, size, age tires, age of suspension, lift kit, etc. that each vehice has.

When in doubt, say "mine is bigger"
