i have a 95 XJ sport w/ the 4.0 litre High Output. I wanted to know what makes it high output versus just a regular 4.0. I also want to know if these have the intake restrictor valve on the airflow(im putting in a K&N cone filter)

It's a redesigned cylinder head that got a few more HP over the old 4.0L engine.

Yep, the main difference is a revised intake port in the cylinder head. The HO is a raised high-port setup that outflows the previous heads by a wide margin. The 258 and non-HO heads are the biggest limiting factor in making power with those engines.
