is there a way to measure how much lift i have? ive got all kinds of tweaks that gave me inches here and there and i just wanna know.

How tall are your tires you are running, & what is the model and year of your jeep?

If you can clear 31" tires without rubbing in the front, you have at least a 3" to 3-1/2" (thats on an XJ)

That is about all of the help I can be, I am sure there is a chart somewhere on the web that shows how much lift you need to clear a certian tire size.

its an 86 XJ 2 door 2.5L. 265/7516rs in the rear 235/85/16rs in the front. in the rear a daystar shackle and coil over shocks, in the front ive got a coil spring spacer, 1 3/4 inch a a couple of extra isolators as well as another set of coil over shocks.

Is it 2wd or you never put it in 4wd?

The stock coil isolators are .75", so 1.75+.75+.75= 3.25" of lift in the front. The rear will be half the difference in length between your shackles and stock shackles. The coilovers won't amount to much, maybe .25" or so.

Does this rig sag in the rear? Any fender rubbage or did you cut them out?

its a 4wd i have rims where the back spacing is set in ward to the tires wont evern touch the flares at full compression they would just hit the wheel well. as far as saggin, the leaves are bent up, there not flat or bent down. the coil over shock boosted em on up

on my jeep with the 3" rustys' kit, i measured from the center of my axle (at the wheel) up to the bottom of the fender flare. 32" all around. (this eliminates tire size as a factor...

not really, your tires size will still affect that, cause theres probably more tire under my axle than yours, mabey an inch or so but still. plus my fender flares are moved up

no, it'd make a difference if you measured from the fender to the ground, but from the axle to the fender flare makes no difference how high off the ground the wheel is... get it?

axle, like from the center cap? or axle like dana 30 tube?

He means axle as in very center of axle. This would also be the very center, midpoint, of your wheel. This would be the same distance no matter what size tires you had on the vehicle, or no tires on at all.

maybe that diagram will help... notice how the distance from the center of the lug nuts does not change when a different tire is used...

also keep in mind that my 32" measurement was with the vehicle sitting on the wheels/tires, not being held up in a lift or on jackstands... although i suppose that you could take this measurement with the rig on jackstands, the suspension would be compressed the same as if it were on the wheels, eh?
