My 4 wheel drive dosn't work.... need advice...

Im pretty sure that it needs a new vacuum shift motor, and the vacuum hoses. How expensive would this be, and were would i beable to buy it. Also ive thought about the option of buying 4 x 4 Posi-Lok, what do you guys think of this. What path do you think i should take. Also do i need the vacuum hoses in place for the Posi-Lok to work. What kinda of jeep is it? Mine went out last year in my 89 YJ and all it turned out to be was a hole in a vacum line. The hole was right up by the carb and the best I could tell was that the manifold burned a hole in it. If I were you I wouldn't start to worry right away. Check out all your vacum lines and make sure there is no hole or big leaks any where. Then check with a vacum gauge to see if you have vacum at your axle. Hope this helps. Evan[addsig]
