shredded serpentine belt

I have an 89 cherokee laredo. I replaced the power steering pump (brand new) and I pressed on a pulley from a pump that I bought on Ebay. I have shredded 2 serpentine belts so far. Question #1 Is a new pulley the answer?
The second shredding slashed the transmission cooler line and it leaks. Question #2 Is there a quick fix for the cooler line, or do I purchase a new line and replace it? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

check alinment of your pullys.the trans line,replace.make sure all bolts u have loosened are tight on pump.

My 1990 XJ did the same thing on me, turned out that the harmonic balancer needed to be replaced. A new cooler line from the dealer is expensive. I picked them both up at a local junkyard for $15.00. Hope this helps

i have never heard o fa harmonic balencer going bad.i maybe wrong.

Purchased a new pulley (around $12 at NAPA) and a new transmission cooler hose (around $26 at NAPA) and a new serpentine belt. If all goes well the jeep should be up and running tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
