No contridiction at all. My point was that you need to choke the strap, not simply throw it over a ball.
But obviously that's too much work for some of you all. I guess to you, it's easier and safer to lay down in some mud, get under an off camber Jeep, and wrap a chain around an axle.

omg, i can wheel almost anywhere here. mountians are maybe 10 minutes away and the river (when its low enough) is only 5. if you want even better 4x4ing its maybe 20-30 minute drive,
