i blew my motor

swo i think i threw a pushrod in my 4.0 cherokee. i cant afford a new motor right. one on my friends said i should be able to just rebuild the head and be ok.. is this true is so it will save me a lot of time and money that as a college kid i dont have to be spending.. any help would be great..

I've never rebuilt an engine, but my understanding is that it is a very labor intensive job that needs to be done right, or your "new" engine just blows up on you. I'd look into getting a used motor to drop in.

what year cherokee do you have?
