Tires rubbing...

I have a 96 Cherokee 3.5" Rubicon express lift and 32" BFG Tires....
The 32s are rubbing a little bit. I want to put bigger tires on it, maybe 35s. What should I do?
Cut the wheel wells? What size would fit if I cut the wells a lil bit?

Re: Tires rubbing...

For 35's on an XJ you'll need to cut fenders and get a taller long-arm suspension to do it right.

Re: Tires rubbing...

You need 6"+ lift and fender trimming to fit 35", pretty big tire for an XJ. That's too much lift for a shortarm suspension, so it takes quite a bit of work.

Re: Tires rubbing...

I agree with bounty hunter 35's are a big tire for an xj. I have an xj with 8'' long arm kit and comfortably fit 33x12.50's with fender trimming and no rubbing at full stuff with wheels turned to full lock. woudn't be able to do it with 35's without limiting my uptravel on my supension and I don't want to do that
