2wd to 4wd conversion

im gettin a 99' cherokee sport 2wd for a really good deal and im thinking about doing 4wd conversion. im looking for opinions on how hard this might be... im under the impression that if i buy jeep transfercase, dana 30, and drivlines. with alil elboe grease and some fabing it shouldnt be to hard. plz offer any input, suggestions u have. the jeep is 4.0 5 speed

It's not too hard, almost a bolt-in.

Don't forget you need a 4wd transmission in order to bolt in the transfer case.

I am Wanting to do this too.. i am planning on going to Salvage Yards to find Some Cherokee 4X4 Transmission and Axels..
Check ebay for that Kind of stuff too..

for all that work I'd find a a good donor 4x4 at the yard or classifieds and just use the 2 wheel drive as a parts donor. I guess it's 6 of one half dozen of the other.
