Electrical??
2000 jeep Cherokee. while driving the speedometer and tachometer die and the check engine light and airbag light come on. At the same time it looks like the odometer reads 'no bus" or "no bu5". It seems to run fine when this happens. Then all of a sudden everything will come back on. What could this be?

It's a bad connection at the BUS connector where the gauge cluster connects to the wiring harness. A hard rap on the top of the dash with your fist will usually get it to come back on. Fixing means disconnecting the connector, bending the pins inside for better contact, reassembling with dialectic grease and securing with zipties.
Chrysler issued TSB's for the problem if you can look them up or ask a dealer or mechanic.
