02 liberty shuts off unless accelerater depressed
My wifes 02 liberty will start ,no problem,but will shut off if she dosent press the accelerator pedal.yesterday it only happened once, but today, its continuous.its a 3.7 litre with an auto. tranny and has 108,000 miles on it. any input on this situation would be greatly appreaciated,because just a couple of days age she helped me buy my first jeep wrangler... and wouldnt you know it, has the death wobble,(another thread).

Sounds like a throttle body problem, maybe the IAC sensor that controls the idle.

thanks again,Bounty Hunter.overall ,the 02 Libertys been extermely reliable for my wife.we keep the oil changed every 3000 miles and I just changed the automatic transmission fluid,gasket,filter,and spin on cooler filter.
