headlights blinking

when driving at night with my headlights on for like 30 min to an hour,
my headlights will start going in and out. I have no idea what the problem is. Anyone else encounter this?

Re: headlights blinking

Bad switch or a bad ground.

Re: headlights blinking

Bad light switch or upgraded lights putting too much draw on the OEM switch.

Re: headlights blinking

Are the lights dim at all or do they just flicker?

Re: headlights blinking

Brandon, I too am having the same problem. I have replaced the switch and regrounded. Only my lights start to flicker after 5 seconds (with a clicking noise inside the housing switch.) Blinkers work, flashers work, brakes work. Arghhhhh. I was hoping you had success in fixing this and would pass it on! The only problem I see (potentially huge) is there is an orange wire hanging out of the switch that appears to have been that way for a very long time. It doesnt seem long enough to go anywhere, maybe a tow wire. not sure.
thanks in advance for the help!
