I don“t know what the smog test requirements are where your at. First question is why do you want to disable the control module. Are you having problems?
I don“t know for sure, but having messed with similiar setups, a vacumn advance type distributor and a Dodge ignition module, used as a bypass for the stock system, is possible with similiar models, easy and inexpensive. I“m guessing you have a carburated motor?[addsig]DO IT IN THE MUD!

no smog needed here, sometimes it runs just fine, the next time you try it could be dead. no power to the coil. a couple of days later it works again, and there's no patern to it. yes its carbed. :-?
