Hi all, gotta 2.7 crd 03 plate GC, wont start......
i got no gauges working cranks but wont fire any ideas??????
thanks in advance:

Check it for diagnostic fault codes. Also, make sure that the battery has a full charge.

Hi, battery is new and fully charged, fault codes ; 0100,0115,0190,0235,1608,2120,2125
well strange, pcm has been off and checked out by a specialist and is all ok, TPS and coolant temp have been changed still no different, can bus is not shorted to earth nor to voltage all sensors getting 5v reference feed all ground returns are good, the weird thing is the gauges all self test ok but non work no volts or fuel gauge..thanks again for any help

P0100-Mass airflow sensor supply voltage too high or too low
P0115-ECT sensor circuit signal voltage too high
P0190-fuelpressure sensor ckt. malfunction, supply voltage too high or too low
P0235-boost pressure sensor signal voltage too high or too low
P1608-A/D converter error/ APP sensor ground failure or internal failure
P2120-APPS sensor 1 ckt supply voltage too high or low
P2125-APPS sensor 2 ckt supply voltage too high or low
From what i see in all these dtc's , theres a voltage issue that could be caused by an open ground or short to voltage. The ECU needs to be troubleshooted with these components for a current occurance of the DTC. One thing you can do is to erase all the dtcs and then cycle the key and attempt to restart the engine then re-check for dtc's and see what is current.

Hi thanks for that, codes erased tried to re start, still doesnt go and the codes have come back all except 0100, i am now totally confused

That codes that came back are the current dtc's that needs to be diagnosed. I would start by inspecting the wiring harness involved with the sensors going to the PCM. Rub through's and chaffed wiring are difficult to isolate and causes a lot of grief.

Hello PMC,

here from the Netherlands another Jeep 2,7 CRD with EXACT the same problems.
I had the PCM replaced twice (expensive), but the first time after six months and the second time after two weeks the car wouldn´t drive.
Now I am at exactly the same points as where you are, same fault codes. So please, please let me know if you find a solution!!
thanks, Lodewijk

I think problem is ic bosch 30402 its voltage regulator +5v for MCU, sensor and serial bus interface. I looking for defective PCM bosch for jeep crd 2.7 2003 to try to fix
Sorry, my english is not very good.

Previous Poster --- Could very well be CORRECT in his assesment of this Problem. This Model JEEP (CRD 2.7. 2003). Apparently had a RASH of PCM Failures! There was a Fellow Jeeper on this Board --- Who Recently Replaced a COUPLE of PCM's on his Jeep. I Think he had to sell his Jeep -- DUE to this Problem. Key OBD Code is: P1608. LOSS of Serial Communications AND an Internal PCM FAILURE. Only Remedy is to Replace the PCM -- And. INSURE that it is Properly Installed. Well GROUNDED -- ALL Heat Sinks Installed (where needed) And Check to Insure Charging System Is Working Propérly. Also Insure you BUY your NEW PCM from a Reputable Source. --- JB
