Walker Muffler Cement

Does anyone have experience with Walker Muffler Cement? I'll be replacing my passenger side cat on my 2005 Liberty wth 3.7L engine. Thinking of using a "semi-universal" cat by Magnaflow, which would typically be a cut out - weld in procedure. Talked to a guy that recommended muffler cement, which only costs about $15. Wondering if this product would work in this application with a couple of clamps for good measure. Thanks.

I've never used it myself. I'd be interested to see if it works.

My experience by exhaust is that it always looks alot easier the it is...

Holey Smokes, just found the whole direct fit catalytic converter (right and left sides) on e-bay for 200.00. The "semi-universal" unit I was going to purchase was going to cost $135, and then would need to have it welded in. Makes sense to replace the whole thing.

I wouldn't use the cement, it's generally used to patch holes in mufflers and doesn't last long. Get it done right, get it welded.
