My 2006 Liberty V6, auto transmission with 70k miles has the 'part time' light on the instrument panel lit when in 2WD mode. I removed the center console a few days ago & ever since then it has been giving that display. The 4WD lever is pushed all the way down to the 2WD position, but the light still shows. Is it possible that it could really be running in 'part time' mode even though it appears not to be? Or might it be the position indicator for the light is messed up?
