knocking noise in front end

I have a 99 xj limited when i turn the wheel eitherway i get a loud knocking noise. I replaced the u-joints on both sides. I am thinking it is a ball joint but i am possitive if anyone knows or had the problem i am having give me some advise it is starting to really annoy me.

Sounds like the front track bar. Tighten both ends, very tight, and make sure the upper track bar mount is tight to the frame.

I have already checked the track bar its not that. I think it might be a lower ball joint. ill have to lube it up and turn the wheels to see if that is the problem.
