What is the best way to install w/o having a shop install them? friend told me to jack the bumper w/ shocks and sway bar disconnected and jack stands under axle to help lower them down low enough to pull the spring and install the spacer any thoughts? imput appreciated

I'm going to do the same install..but only like an inch. My plan is to disconnect the shocks and swaybars..jack up the bumper like your friend said..jack stands..yadda yadda. If i need to jack up one side of the axle at a time to get a little extra drop out of it and maybe a spring compressor. Should be cake, take you a few hours.

disconnect shocks and swaybars... lift the frame, leaving the axle down... the spring should eventually lose enough pressure to come out

you need to remove the wheel anyway. but that pretty much does it. I would recommend the spring compressor though, makes it alot easier.

Ya should do like I did and take it to your cousin the mechanic and have him up the JEEP up on a lift and use all his handy dandy air powered shop tools to then do as Snitty said and remove the, tires, shocks and swaybar, and then use the spring compresser thingy (that I was really impressed by) and viola... insert spacers and replace everything.

Actually you don't have to remove the Wheel. Remove Swaybar links, Remove Top of shock bolts and jack one side of the Axle and the other side with the bumper. Bingo ya got's it

L33, probablly true. I was replacing my shocks too so ease of motion was why my wheels were taken off. Touche', ya got me.

Wicked easy to do, I did a 2" spring lift in my friends TJ, took like 2 hours, new shocks and springs!! you wont even need spring compressors, just muscle them in there!
