My starter went the other day, now I'm just tapping the starter with a wrench every time I want to start my jeep since friday night. I was wondering about upgrading to a mean green starter but its 200 bucks more than a stock one! Is it worth it? Anyone have any experiance with them? Thanks
Joop

Does anyone know if the ECM model # and Code are for '97

I have one. This thing is nuts, it sounds like a supercharged starter! IT is much smaller than the stock one. Fires my jeep up everytime. Only catch is the price tag.

damn birds

I went with the stock starter, I needed the 200 bucks for other things... as long as it starts, it's a heck of a lot better than it was. Thanks for the info guys...

I love it too laneiac.

i went for about 2 weeks tappin on my starter everytime i had to go somewhere. at some points id have to climb under neath and shake the whole thing while a buddy would turn the key... big pain in the @$$ when u gotta dress nice to work.

eventually i just went with the 100$ one from autozone and got a lifetime warranty. hey, why not.
