CJ7 Fuel Injection Kit - Fuel LIne

I am in the process of putting a mopar MPI fuel injection kit on my '83 CJ7 258. Everything is done except the fule line returns. Instructions ommitted this but the original fuel line return goes to a check valve then to a fuel vent piece of junk. This tee's off and goes to the charcoal canister. The MPI kit assumes you have a tank with three lines: one going to the canister. Mine doesn't. Technically, how is all this supposed to work on a fuel injected jeep. I can go directly back to tank with the return but is this safe or does it create any problems?
