What is a truss

hey you guys,What is a truss? im installing one piece axels in my amc20 rearend and it was suggested that i put a truss along with my one piece axels.Seriuosly thinking about doing anything that would help strengthing the amc20.I am runing 33's and a 307 v8.Thanks

My grampa used to wear a truss, but it didn't look anything like that......

A truss is what holds the roof up on your house.
As long as you don't jump it, it will be fine. Model 20 housings are so cheap and easy to find, if you ever do bend it you can replace it easily.
BTW...I once saw a dude that had trussed the axle across the bottom side...what a maron. He might as well have had a snow plow on the front too.
